Nice to meet you.
I'm Ian Centrone, a freelance writer, published photographer, and award-winning social media strategist focusing on all things travel.
My work has appeared in outlets such as Men's Journal, Esquire, National Geographic, DuJour, Travel + Leisure, Saveur, Penta, Robb Report, Maxim, Tasting Table, The Globe and Mail, Thrillist, Fodor's Travel, Time Out and more. My goal is to share engaging stories with the right people at the right time utilizing the right platform, whether it be the written word, imagery, or the ever-changing realm of social media.
I was born and raised on Long Island, New York before my family made our way down the East Coast, eventually settling in South Florida. I'm a proud Gator graduate from the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, and my professional past lives include positions with Saatchi & Saatchi, NBCUniversal, and Hawkins International Public Relations. Some of my other previous odd jobs include cologne spritzer in that loud and dimly lit clothing store, swim instructor, dog walker, homework helper, and accidental bartender.
In my spare time, you can find me testing out new recipes, enjoying long strolls through far-flung neighborhoods, and befriending strangers along the way.
